Fogged headlight caused burt out bulb

Whats up guys..... my passenger side headlight housing has been fogged for a while when it rains out. Tonight i got in my car and noticed that passenger side light is out.

I have a 2004 SE (fully loaded) with the OEM Xenon "HIDs". I know im going to have to replace the housing as well as the bulb so it doesnt happen again. My car is not covered under warranty anymore since 2 months ago. Whats each goin to cost me?

Thanks. :

ooooooooooooo

i think the price last time i checked at the stealership was:

$your right index finer, left baby toe, 1 pint of blood, first born.00

not too bad i guess.

I would look at e-bay...... probably going to find the best price there.

good luck man,

Kam

well since you're going to replace the housing, why don't you trying cooking it open, clean it out and resealing it?

Use Oven

Cook It And Cut It Open... Clean It And Then Seal Back.. Silicon.. Cost??? Cost Of Silicon And Little Labor I Guess.. Taking Out Headlight Is Kinda Itch Cuz U Have To Take Out The Whole Bumper.

Good Luck

Id rather trade the car in at a different dealer or just live with it than pay stealership prices for an HID headlamp unit

good news and bad news..... i woke up today and it was working.... i just went back out and now its not working again. The housing is still foggy. Im hoping that it will work once the housing dries up. Its been raining for a few days so its making it worse.
