Coilover !!
Coilover !!
I cant decide. I want coilovers but dont know which to go with. I want the best money can buy for the 6th gen. But i also want a good but firm ride. I have seen the D2 make coilovers, Tein and KSport have them.
Which do you guys recommed, based on ride, installation ease(I dont want to make any modifications to the car)and quality. I dont want a bouncy ride.
Thanks for the help.

Your wheels look like they were photo chopped. Anyways, I was turned away from a coplete coil over system cause I hear horror stories. My buddy had D2's on his max and they "clanged" and I hear the same stuff from the honda/acura guys. Hopefully tek and J have better things to say about them. Even though i hear horro stories i feel like getting them just cause I want my car tucking tires and scraping the under carriage
I have the Ksports and I have yet to get them dialed in, the place that did the install didn't know as much about adjusting them as they led on. I actually put my stock shocks and Eibach springs back in the rear for now, because it was just too stiff. The front is firm but fine (and it looks good!) Tek will have better info for you as he as gotten his all dialed in. But I will say this that the noises were there for a few weeks, mostly creaking, not really clanging, but they have all gone away. We were going with D2 but heard they had fit problems, supposedly they have been fixed now and are fine...hope this helps you out.

For a street car go with a strut/spring setup! There is no reason for a street car to have spring rates as high as the coilovers have. The spring rates on the Ksports are stiffer than even my race cars which causes bounce and a lack of traction over bumps/dips. I even had my front wheels come off the ground once over a bump with the Ksports.
An exception would be if you could get a coilover with a progressive rate spring such as Bilstein has. I don't think anything offered for th Maxima is progressive. Look closely and see how the spring is actually two springs for a progressive ride.

Like I mentioned before I'm going with Tein only for the adjustable ride height. Personally I think that the spring rates are too high. But Eibachs product isn't much better due to their uneven drop. I've been happy with my Koni/Eibach setup but it would be perfect if the drop was just a bit lower. If you want coils the only option is Tein....why spend almost as much $$ on something not as proven as a Tein product.
