Soon to be a 6th gen member....

Started the paper works today and gave down payment
for a 2006 SE. It's a barebone automatic.
The deal is $23,500 + $580 destination = $24,080
including floor mats and splash guard.
Is this a good deal?

The $23,500 is before the down payment? If so, looks like a killer deal. What color?

Yep, that was before down. I'd only put down $200
since I didn't expect to buy today.

Silver with black interior was my choice going in,
but then I'd changed my mind to bronze.
The silver wore off since I've been seeing way too
many silver cars lately.

Why no options?

Hopefully I will have it this coming weekend.
Yep..no options. I've driven my 96SE for nine
plus years without options. However, I will
spend some money later for mods hehehe.
At most I will get the OEM spoiler.

Very true on the silver....lots of them. Tough to set yourself apart.

At $24,080 you are well below the invoice price listed on Edmunds $26,099 (1k rebate) = $25,099 that is really good. How did you finagle that deal?

Well, thanks to you guys I'd checked the suggested
links like Edmunds and CarsDirect for prices.
I flat out told him that at $23,500 I will sign the deal
on the spot. You can also play the game of financing
to bring the price down rather than paying everything
at once even if you have the cash. Just pay it off
in the first few installments. It's a higher price if you
buy the car with cash since they can't make money
off of interests.

Silly to say but my mom helped haggled the price too.

Great price! That is on a '06? $25,373 - 1,000 rebate is 24,373. You are about $1190ish under invoice.

Isn't it great we can buy a Maxima for about 4-5k more than a Honda Civic or about the same price as a 2006 Hyundai Sonata

Silver, silver, silver...obviously I own a silver Max!
Bronze just seems like "dirty" silver to me...
(no offense to any bronzers out there)

Sounds like a good deal either way, congrats and welcome aboard!!
