High capacity muffler

Does the "high capacity mufflers" on the 6th gen
have the same technology as the 5th gen where,
at a certain condition, both tail pipes will open?

where would be the fun in that. The reason i want Remus is for that wicked looking oval tip and that AMG Mercedes purrr....

Couldnt afford AMG so I bought the next best thing. My Maxi.

I tought we did have this built in...

at low rpms one of the holes is open, and at full throttle both will open for more flow..

I think we have this..

I heard you coming up the street. Your car sounds nice, smooth, and deep; but not too loud.

Hello:

Wondering if you guys can give me a hand, I replaced the stock exhaust for magnaflow's part # 14827's when I went under I realize that there was actually 3 mufflers in this car!! WTF So I eliminated the big long one in the middle and replaced the ones in the back with the magnaflows. it sounds awsome but in 5th and 6th gear the sounds gets a little too munch inside the car. My question is: does anybody knows about a good resonator out there that can help me with this 5th/6th gear sound problem? If so part # please.

Thanks in advance

Well technically there are 2 dual pipe mufflers... I suppose the third one you're refering to is the resonator, which is about 45 feet long (I couldnt' believe it when I saw it either... it's HUGE).

I know some people have replaced their stock res with the Magnaflow one... I know Deus doesn't have it but I believe Cattman is incorporating it as an option into their "quieter" exhaust. I don't think I've seen a part number posted, but I know a few people have used it, and some even gone back from straight pipe like you are now because the car is too loud for them without it.

You can get MagnaFlow (or any other brand) a resonator, or a round muffler, and put inplace of stock resonator. That will reduce the droning sound. at low to mid RPM.

Make sure its a perforated resonator, not a baffled resonator. Baffled resonators have these little baffles that hang on the airstream and create backpressure.

Thanks guys!! If anybody has a part# for the magnaflow resonator please let me know!! My wife is about to kill me with the droning sound. and I don't want to go back to stock. it is amazing how big the stock resonator is I think my car got about 20lbs lighter without it.
