6-speed tranny reliability

How's everyone's 6-speed tranny holding up? I know you guys got a slightly upgraded version of what 5.5 gens have (for one, 4.133 final drive ratio instead of 3.812) and I was wondering just how strong the new trannies are. I'm starting to get temped by a 6-speed swap seeing as how I've shredded 2 gears already... mating the 3.5 with the transmission that was meant for it. And I'm thinking the less aggressive 1st gear might help with traction issues.

Also, can anyone comment on shifter feel compared to the old 5-speed? Rod driven vs. Drive by wire.

Isn't it cable driven, not DBW?

Besides the F/D, there's nothing else different.
