Ruined bumper HELP HELP HELP!

MIDWAY NISSAN WHITBY, ONTARIO

Ok I had a little split in my rear bumper near the wheel well joint. (DRIVERS SIDE) Non-Visible.

So i went to the dealership and asked them to fix it for me, cause I didnt cause it, looked like a paint split from paint adhesion or something.

Anyways, you can see in my pics the before work and the after. As you can tell, no sign of it before, and now!!!

Guys please help, what can i do, im at wits end with this dealership and this car. I live in Canada, so suing them for a new bumper wont work for me, or I dont know how.....

HELP

I don't know why you couldn't sue Nissan even though you are from Canada, their warranty is still good there and they need to stand behind their product.

How could it split, it looks as though the bumper was pulled on from below around the mudflap area and it split along the top fasteners. Maybe you hit a curb as you were going up a driveway? That sucks. Sorry I wasn't much help.

Thats the thing, they knew about the bumper since the beginning, they kept telling me to come in whenever i had some free time, so i did, to them they say thats fixed.

wow my last reply was like that of a Chernolbyl baby.

Ok

1) they knew about the bumper.

2) service advisor came with me to look at it and i saw him make the initial tear in the bumper bigger.

3) they asked me to bring in the car so they could fix it, (NOT UNDER WARRANTY).

4) I came in today to pick it up and i saw how much bigger they made the rip.

5) Basically they glued the underside of the bumper to make the tear stop spreading. But in the process made the tear bigger.

6) I cant get a new bumper cause they dont sell them prepainted from the factory. And repainted never matches the car.

7) I cant steal one from a car on their lot cause I'm not like that.

Well I'm not saying to be a sucker and take care of it yourself, but don't let the paint thing fool you... if you use a good body shop and they order the OEM paint, it will match 100%.

My front bumper is new, and the guy I took the car to ordered K11 paint for it and did an excellent job. If I didn't tell you, you wouldn't know it was a new bumper because the color is a near perfect match -- I say near because plastic is never the same color as painted metal because of the additives that they use, but for all intents and purposes (visually) it's basically the same damn color.

Man you guys are getting shafted...

Any Nissan rip-off stealership will sell it to you in the States for $230-250 or thereabouts. If you know somebody that knows somebody, you'll get it at dealer cost which is like $120.

I guess the bumpers out there are made out of solid gold and primed with diamond nanopaint or some **** like that... terrible.

Fill it with some touchup, that will make it 1000% better, it would cover the plastic underneath...seriously

But the befor epix are so far away you wouldnt be able to see it anyway, its not an apples to apples comparison. if you had two close up shots thats better. I cant assess what they even did because the before shots dont show the problem...take some shots of what it looks like now from the same distance as the before shots...its gonna look the same...sorry.

In the above shot u can just bareley make out where the tear begins, it was on the same spot as the protective clear film.

Anywhoo, thats all it was before, and now it looks like ****. Makes me want to jam my brakes infront of a tailgater just to get rid of it.
