eibach springs

does anyone have the pro kit on their 6th gen? what's the ride like compared to stock SE suspension? does it mess with the camber of your ride? can you just put the kit on without anything else? (sway bars, camber kit, etc) thanks fellas

just drop it in and thats it... no need for camber kits or sway bars altho the sway bar helps with roll.. it prob changes the camber alittle, but not enough to worry about.. it is recommended to do an alignment after a drop..

ride is firmer than stock..

So how would you describe the ride of your car TEK? I love the look, but I bet comfy isn't something that you could use.

mines is firmer than all of the above in suspension prob... with the coils and the swaybar installed is deffinatly firm, but is not hard. bumps are kinda rough with the low profile tires, but thats expected..

I haven't driven with my stock tires yet to compare the ride, but I'm sure it will still be firm without the feel of the road so much..

I have mine for sale currently....for $125 what do you have to lose?! Anyhow I like the setup. Drope is almost perfect. Ride is ok...however they do make noise compaired to stock. I think that over 50% of owners maybe more have complained of this issue.

I consider my stock one really firm, but that comes from a former pickup driver. When I drove it the other day it felt like it was rolling on pillows.

I really like the way the wheels/tires look, but the roads suck here so I will probably stay away from them.

hey tek-niq I talked to you a while back about your ride. I am thinkin about gettin the TIS TS07's in the 22x8 and am still not too sure if I want springs or coilovers. i like the way the pro kit looks but if the ride is harsher than coilovers it's not worth the money saved. did you start out with coilovers or springs first? would it make a difference fit wise for the 22's with the springs compared to coilovers? thanks tek-niq. your ride is damn nice!

Try Cattman springs, no noise, nice drop, great handling.

I have them - great look, good handling with the sway bar.

Some light popping noise every once in awhile but nothing drastic...

If you are concer about the ride, I think Tein is coming out with some springs too, probably the usual H and S line. I have Progress/Cattman; a little lower than I wanted, but I love the ride/ handling.

Dropped on EiBach Pro, love the handling improvement, I do however have new front/rear sways for more improved handling. No noise, no more wheel gap, no problems, just more fun to drive. Smooth roads here in MD so my ride just glides...

I've had my Eibachs on for less than a month.....'04 SL. On certain roads, I get the lowrider bounce, but other than that, it's perfect. Looks GREAT!!! Also, you have to get an alignment...My car pulls left very hard.

If they are installed properly, you should not have any issues with noise, popping, etc.

The look is great, no camber issues, but you should get an alignment to set the toe. As far as ride is concerned, I found the ride smoother than stock. That's because the Eibach springs have a progressive rate. The spring is softer than stock in the beginning, then it becomes more stiff.

So it's a win/win/win situation: better looks, better handling, better ride.

I'm really happy with the Eibach pro-kit. Now with 22's, I'm not sure how that would be. But with 20's, it seems to do just fine. They seem to have a little more bounce than the stock suspension. I've never heard any noises or pops with them and would recommend them. I think the addition of the front strut bar and rear sway help make it an overall tighter feel. Good luck.......

I didn't start with springs, I went straight to coils.. I dunno how it would be on the rear with springs cause you can't really drop it that much back there. I had to compress the rear springs some so when I hit a bump it would hold the weight of my passengers and the car so it don't rub.. i'm not sure if the springs are stiff enough to do that.

remember that if you go 22x8 you prob can get away with some of this stuff, that extra inch on my wheels really make it hard to fit with no rubs when hitting bumps. if you can get a deeper offset that will tuck the rim in alittle more than mines, you prob won't have to worry about the rear rubbing, and be safe with just the springs, but that I am not possitive about.

I have to add that I also have a swaybar, that helps alot with the rebound of the car.

this is my first experience with 22s and thats how I went about it, I hope that helps..

and thanx for the comment..

When I had Eibachs installed it rode great, a never a peep from them. I just couldn't stand the gap it still had in the front. I am running the Ksports in the front and I put the Eibachs back in the back for now until I can adjust the coilovers so they aren't so stiff...front strut bar and rear sway bar coming next!
