No 5th Gear!!!

I somehow lost my 5th gear somewhere between yesterday and today. I know that sounds kind of weird but, it's exactly what happened. I have a 6spd and when I go to shift it into 5th it'll just go back to neutral. I can feel the gate where 5th is suppose to be but, NO 5th!!! I was freaking out on the highway! It shifts into all the other gears (1,2,3,4,6, and R) but, I have to force it into each gear. I have previously complained about the tranny shifting hard but, they couldn't duplicate the problem.

I only have about 33K on the car and I'm already having tranny problems! I don't beat on the car at all and I've always baby it.

Anyway, I already called the dealer and I have an appointment for monday...in the meantime, I'm out of a car for the next few days! I'm not happy!

I'll keep you guys updated....

BTW, has anyone else had this problem?

I've heard that there is a recall or something on the 6spd's! I'll have more info tomorrow.

I had that happen in a VW once. Just was a misalignment in the shifter mechanism at the tranny. Took a half hour to fix.
