thrown code?

My SES light came on and i got it read at an auto parts store and it read that the engine rpm is higher than expected for the current engine operating conditions. huh. no knocking or pinging or unusual sounds or behavior justthe code, it does seem a bit slower though. I did get my oil changed about 2500 miles ago and i think the bastards put in regular oil. so i just got the system flushed and refilled with mobil1 full syn. could the old oil maybe have thrown this code? code# is 0507.

your car knows not what kind of oil you use. syn and dino are completely compatible/mixable etc.

maxmale,
Start with the service bulletin mentioned by gen2000. That code sets when the engine idle speed is higher than expected by the engine computer. Has anyone been working on or cleaning the electric throttle control actuator?
