Brembos on 06 Sentra SE-R Spec-V
If they can put a Brembo braking system in a Sentra Spec V why can't they offer that option for us Maxima owners. Would love to have a 4-piston caliper on our cars. What a waste putting those big brakes on a 175HP engine.

I'M ALMOST POSITIVE, you can take the entire brake kit from a 350Z and slap it on our car, they use the same calipers in the non brembo version. SO that means, if you have the brembo version brackets and calipers and rotors im pretty sure it would fit.

I had a Bremboed Spec V and those brakes were incredible. I too wish they had those for our cars. I have always suspected that the G35 or 350Z brakes would bolt on, but they seeemed too expensive to try.

A dude at the dealership told me the rears should fit without a hitch.
Which means he prolly has no clue, ooops break is over time to work.
Thanks,

I was looking into the APR big break kit, but frig id much rather have 4 brembos as opposed to only 2 APRS.

They will put those in because they know someone put a 3.5 in it.
But really. They don't offer this for the Maxima because the Maxima is aimed at an older crowd. Sentra SE-Rs are aimed at the younger buyers. And bigger brakes means it's fast
, hence the better sales.

I think he had a point there, the maxima brakes are great for day to day puttin around town but at the end of the day If i spend $4000 on a supercharger to make her go faster, whats adding another $1800 to make ol'nelly slow down faster. Plus you can find many on line retailers that can sell you the entire kit.
APR 4 piston fronts by them selves are $1600, for $1800 you get all 4. That seems like a better deal to me.
Peace,

You mean to say that the G/Z non-brembo brake calipers are identical to the 6-gen maxima calipers? Historically, all Nissan FWD and RWD did not share the same mounting dimensions.

The Maxima has the same front brakes as the 2006 350Z. So the Brembo's will fit without a doubt. And clearance shouldn't be a problem with the 18's on an SE but I doubt they'd fit under 17" SL wheels because the stock brakes are very close even though the Brmbos are only .2" larger the caliper is way beefier.
