how does 6gen muffler sound? Is it variable like the 5g?

Because of the big resonator. W/o the resonator, they are noticeably louder. Some get the buzz, some don't.

What type of mufflers are in the pics? I want to get a new exhaust but I don't want it to show much more than OEM. Is there a major sound difference?

I have the Maganflows, they look similar to stock but 20 million times better...
