Found THE LED for our tail lights!

I have tried a many different LED replacement bulbs for our tail lights and I finally found the one. I bought one to test and put it in tonight and damn it's brighter than stock, fills the entire lens and is a nice deep red.

I bought it from autolumination.com it's the Light Tower II:

20 Powerful Wide Angle Oval LEDS

These Bulbs have Advanced Patent Pending Control Circuitry Found in no Other LED Bulbs

These are the most advanced led bulb assemblies ever produced.

More powerful than any other automotive leds made.

15 side facing LEDS

5 forward facing LEDS

Here's a pic with one installed (lowest left bulb only) You can see it's brighter than the stock bulbs and the blinker/brake is even brighter.

I referred to the sticky:
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=415852
We require the 3057 bulb but the 3157 (edited 1/12 I had said 1157, sorry!!) is the same bulb.So you'll need 4 3157 Red for the rear (dual circuit, parking light/blinker or brake)

The front Ambers are 1157 (socket not wedge type)

I also ordered 2 3ohm (One on each side covers front and rear) load equalizers as well because I have the fast blinking dilema you often get with LED's. The load resistor simulates the resistance of the incandescent bulb and restores the turn signal to normal operating function with the led.

If you guys need anything else let me know.
I just went outside now that it's dark and these things are bright! I could see the light from the forward facing LED's on the garage across the alley!!

Just though I'd share, I know everybody has been looking for good LED's that actually work, here they are.
I just ordered the other 3 for the rear and also ambers for the blinkers in front...

Looks good, if you get a chance, can you post the part numbers that go to which bulb for ease in ordering...

Yes they plug right in and it's a tight fit into the taillight cut out but they do fit...I'll take pics when I add the rest later this week or early next week.

I've ordered a bunch of stuff from them in the past. They were working on a bulb for our front markers that is "hyper white" when on but blinks amber. That project never really went anywhere though. Anyhow the LED's look hot!

Oh yeah that's right! I thought this bulb looked like the one you were talking about a while back.

Hope they wont screw me over, I just ordered some bulbs from them a few days ago.

Cant wait to see the pics Jsmithsole. One question...when the bulb comes on or when your signaling, does it flash like other LED bulbs do, for instance the G35 taillights?

My order got to me in just a few days with tracking info, I wouldn't worry.

And yes they do flash like the G35 style, bright and quick!

It looks like they just connect to the wire with an easy to use splice connector. It says you only need to put one on each side and it will handle the front and the back (that's the 3ohm version with the 6ohm you need 4)
Here's the diagram:

I saw that and wondered WTH but figured you knew what you were talking about....

the ones you received probably look like the front turn signals right? I believe the rear ones are a wedge, atleast the reverse one are.

So I did the unthinkable lastnight. I got my front LED towers and started to put them in. I will admit they are a tight fit (almost feels like they are going to break) but with a bit of finesse they do go in the socket. Anyways I was having trouble getting them in so as I was pushing the bulb/socket into the lens the bulb came loose and fell into the lens! So right then I knew I would have to take off the bumper and remove the light housing to shake the bulb back out. Well I did all that this morning and everything worked out. I took the bumper off and then removed the headlight housings. It was so much easier putting those lights in by taking the housing out (obviously, just a lot more work)
The bulbs look really good, nice and bright and fast responding as LED's are...

Rears will be done next week....

Looking good so far. Cant wait to see the taillights. I just replaced the front turn signals and man was that a b!tch to do. Like you said it was a tight fit but i managed to do it without removing the bumper. I just loosed a few things and with my skinny hands, I barely got them in there.
