Steering wheel stereo controls intermittent

sometimes the steering wheel stereo controls are intermittent and I've had the power lumbar support do the same thing. Usually if you turn the radio off and back on again with the steering wheel on/off button everything goes back to normal with exception of the lumbar when that went bad. Lumbar works now by the way and I couldn't figure out how to reset the lumbar. I also tried turning the car off and back on and the lumber still didn't work. It just started magically working a few days later. I'm most concerned with the stereo as it is extremely annoying.

Did you call your dealer?

You do know there is a recall for the lumbar wiring right? maybe you're is getting pinched.

Never had any problem the the radio or wheel controls myself.

I had the same problem with the stereo. I had a short in the controls on the steering wheel. I couldn't change the radio station or adjust the volume. Whenever I took it to the dealer they could't "reproduce" the problem. So next time it happen I went directly to the dealer and I didn't turn my car off or anything. They finally witnessed it and then they fixed it.

Just wondering how the Seat recall has anything to do with the steering wheel controls ?

I had the exact same problem with my steering wheel audio controls. My dealer replaced the steering wheel radio switch. The receipt says: Part Switch-ASCD. ST 255
