OK I did it

Found a 2006 Black/Black, 6-Speed, Elite Package, Leather, Chrome Wheels - freaking everything but Nav Maxima SE.......used......only 2800 miles.

Bought it for $27,500, sticker was @36K.

It was about a 80 mile trip home from the dealer, the longer I drove it the better I liked it. Windows already tinted, there is $125 in savings right there.

Going to update the grill and will take some pics soon.

Probably will sell the 01 AE 5-Speed. When I'm ready to sell, as long as family or friend doesn't want it, I will post here first. It will be a few weeks.

Since I don't have posting access because of the new user rules, I have to hijack your thread....Sorry! I ended up snagging a 06 SE yesterday. This is my first import car and so far I have been impressed, but I am curious what gremlins people have had so far. Once this snow clears up I will post some pics.

You know, every so often I would just browse the internet postings at http://www.cars.com/go/index.jsp?aff=cinci and I came accross it.

I saw the milage and thought it was a misprint, so I called, sure enough it had @2800 miles.

The only problem is they sprayed that car air freshener in it so it smells like a strip club, I am "febreezing" the carpets now. Other than that it seems perfect.

If I could get the wife to do a striptease in the car I guess it would be good.

Good deal on that. That price is very good. I love the elite package. It really makes the car seem customized. Do you have the sunroof also? Just curious. If you want to sell it I'd be on the list. Enjoy the car dude. You're gonna love it.

Yes, it has the sunroof. As near as I can tell it has every option possible except for Sat Radio & Navigation. I love the Bluetooth that some people have complained about, it works great with my phone (Treo 650). Chrome Wheels make the car.

I probably could sell this car for a more than I bought it for but I am keeping it.

that's one of those deals that sounds too good to be true! did you have it checked out by a mechanic and run accident reports on it, private party?

Mechanic check out

I did not have it checked by a mechanic, however carfax was clean and the delaer signed documentation that stated it had never been wrecked.

It is a pretty upstanding dealership (they sell Caddilac, Buick, Olds, Chev, Pont, GMC). I don't think that they are looking to make a few bucks on a shyster deal.

I think that I was just lucky. Look at the cars they sell, I'm sure most of their clients are not looking for Manual transmissions so they were probably happy to sell it so quick.

When you shift into 3rd or higher, is there a fair bit of resistance??? Mine is doing that and I'd like to know if it is normal.

Thanks,

Ming

I just picked up my car today, and after an exhaustive discussion here, I decided to go ahead with the deal. The dealer I bought mine from is actually a leasing company, and the cars they had listed were some Porsche 911s, Ferraris and Masertis. Other than the shifter/synchros feeling a little funny, the car I picked out is great!

Congrats on your find

Ming

Third gear seems fine in my car. It's hard getting used to 6th gear after driving 5-speeds for 20 years.....yes I'm old

Nice find. Glad you found what you were looking for. I'm looking for a used 6th gen myself. Been looking about a month. The first one I looked at I should have bought. So I'm still looking.

I'm looking for a 04/05 automatic, Red, Silver or Smoke SE with the Bose system, Dark cloth or leather interior with a sunroof and under 30K miles in the 22K price range. If anyone know of one let me know. Thanks
