Wife doesn't like the maxi's grill! Time for a mod

The wife was starring at the front of my car and says "Ya know, i reaaalllyyy like your car, but not so sure about the grill, you should get a different one...." (Probably because she just got a brand spankin' new Mazdaspeed6 and doesn't need anything else)

I was like "HUH!? what did i just hear?..." An open door to getting me a different grill without even having to "ask", how often does THAT happen?

Anyhow... I recall someone on here have a webpage with pics of the various grills for our cars. Anyone knows who's it is, and a website address...

I tried searching, but no luck....

Thanks.....

get her platinum studed Icy Grillz

most of the grilles on a page are at the bottom of the Modification Sticky.
If she doesn't want bling blao, then mesh is probably best [cough]redlinemax[/cough]

I went to Mazda to look at the Mazdaspeed6 but they said they didnt sell them, I had to go to a dealer about 30 min away. Didn't bother. I did drive a Mazdaspeed Miata a few months ago and thought it was a great sportscar.

I worked a deal on the MazadaSpeed 6 for the wife after she was tired of her 2004 A4 1.8T. The car has some turbo lag, but makes 14lbs of boost at like 2500rpm(I believe). But when it kicks it goes like a bat outa hell. Very well built, 100% Japanese. Built over seas. Not one american part.
but we ended up getting a 06 Altima SE V-6 fully loaded, i mean everything.

Well, I wanted to keep my close to stock, so I found this simple solution for less tha $100 bucks Ebay. Just two billet inserts that I installed myself.

Not to hijack my own thread, but yeah... the Mazda is a VERY sweet ride, a little rocket when that turbo kicks in.

Any thoughts on this idea...

But may not be a bad idea to make this thread a sticky to show available grills for our rides as most agree they're something to be desired... no?

wow, it's 25 dollars for any kind of grilles. I thought grilles are more expensive than that.

Can't say i'm an expert on grills or anything, especially as i'm looking for one myself, but i definitely follow the rule "you get what you pay for", so me personally, i'd be a bit leery on a grill that's only $25.... IMHO.

i realy like the chrome/polished grills on the front of our cars.

i had a black mesh grill on my last car, and now i just want something a lil' more bling.

mroleg, i like that grill but can you post a pic or 2 showing all of it? the pic on their site shows some gap at the bottom middle of the bumper...

and btw what is the difference between the replacement and insert for the grills???

thanks again...

peace

ps. i think that the stock grill looks like a chrome waffle iron, lol...

I think I'm leaning towards the RedlineMax grill as on Jsmiths... Very sweet looking, but most importantly gets rid of the dreaded "teeth" (no disrespect to everyone elses, to each his own of course )

I do believe the color of a car can make or break a grill, so I'm gonna have to try to Photochop it on a Majestic Blue Maxima, to see exactly how the silver and black powder coat will look. Leaning towards the chrome as of now.
