LED puddle lights

Guys,
I am planning on getting a little creative this weekend.
I am planing of putting 6 (4 LED light pods) under each side of the car,
In white that light up when you open the door. Should be a nice touch. I saw that on a MB E55 AMG the other day. Real sweet touch. Now my question is, what do u guys think And where do I find the place to wire these lights into. I want to hook it up to the dome light(interior light) so the LED's dim out as do the lights inside. I have these LED pods on my Harley around the motor. Looks sweet. Please can someone chime in and tell me the wiring proces for this.
Thanks
VQ

Not sure how to get the wires inside the car but once you do just tap into the lights that light up the footwells. When I disarm my alarm these come on (I think the stock keyfob does this as well, can't remember) What lights are you going to use again? Seems like 6 pods would make the light kinda spotty why don't you get one of these to spread the light evenly? I used these in my trunk:

I tried something similar but thought about putting it under the side mirrors. I tried tapping into the door light (bottom of the door on the inside), but it didn't work. After splicing into the door light all the door lights stay on even after I lock the doors. I waited but they never went off. After I removed the wires back to original the lights go off after I lock the doors. Anybody know why? I probably did something stupid but I can't figure it out.

I tried it with these:

That is odd, I replace my footwell lights with and LED light board and they work fine, maybe try to tap in there. And that bulb looks like a strobe(actually your link for the pic says strobe in it), not just an LED?? Maybe that could be a problem? I used a similar LED bar as my cornering lights for a while, weren't as bright as I had hoped though (and one fell off somewhere due to my rigged temporary install!!)

jsmithsole,

I was thinking of also installing that flexible leb tube light in the trunk. I was wondering how hard it is to install? Did you just tap into the interior trunk light? Also how bright it is and how many of those flex led tubes did you use? I was just planning on just using one tube.

Thanks

I just tapped into the stock light, real easy. It's nice and bright!
I just uses one of the 36" ones in white.

Scroll down to the bottom. (I also added the 3 led pods which is what you see in the pic) The LED tube/strip runs along the box and is hidden, you can see a little bit of it up and to the right of the left sub...

There's an option to get strobe or non. These are non strobe ones. They light up fine...they just won't go off. I'll try the foot wells...thanks.

See I wouldn't want the spots, I'd want more of an even light shining down. They look quality though...

Really? I've bought a bunch of stuff from them and have had no problems. They even let me return stuff when I mis ordered and refunded me before they got the product back. I was surprised on how good their CS was...
Either way, there's this site as well that I have bought stuff from:

wire them into your dome lights. that way they turn on when you disarm/unlock your doors or when you open them, and they will go out when the dome light go's out.

Yes, like I said in post #2. Don't bother going to the domes though when you can just tap into the wires of the lights in the footwells (that are part of the dome illumination)

yeah those are nice i had the regular led tubes on my old car, and here is a link http://www.cardomain.com/ride/717651/1 click on page 2. I had them hooked up to the music so every bass hit the light basically strobes i thought that was bad ***. They also had different settings to go faster and brighter.
