Just curious what you think the best use of some money would be.... A new greddy or similar exhaust and take my car in to get scratches, dings and dents fixed and repainted, as well as the lower plastic piece on the front bumper.... or new rims and tires? I've got about 42,000 on my car so I'll be needing new tires soon anyway, so that's probably the smarter way to go.... just curious what you guys think!

Freshened ride w/ exhaust on stock wheels and old tires, or new shiney wheels and tires on scratched and dented car.

I'd go w/ the first choice w/ new tires.

I guess it depends on how bad the scratches/dents are, new rims might make them "disappear" for a while...

well the dents arent bad at all, just one small one in the bottom corner of the front bumper, the bottom lip part... scratches are mainly chips and dings on the front bumper from normal driving, and a few on the back bumper from some accidental contact with things.... and one scratch on the drivers' door...

i think i'll just see what it would cost to get those taken care of, and go from there

That's just what I'd do. Like J said, new wheels will make you look past the dings and dents for a little while. When you get your car clean, those dings and dents will stand out. They stab you in the eyes, personal experience.

i agree that getting the car itself looking new again is ultimately the best option, but i also know i'll be needing new tires sometime soon, and for $1300 i can get a good set of tires and new rims as well. Maybe i'll forget the exhaust for now and get the rims/tires and fix the paint chips now... or do the paint first and do the tires when they tell me i should get new ones. do the exhaust last.

Tuning this car is about looks, if you need to choose between an exhaust and rims, go for rims, you will feel the difference when you are driving on new tires and/or bigger wheels...however with the exhaust your car will not be any bit faster, it might infact get slower...but all you'll notice is the look of the pipes and the sound...it wont add to the car in terms of looks like rims can.

If I was you I would repair the car first. Have them paint the lower part of the bumper the color of your car. I just had that done and it looks real good.

If your tires are about to go or just worn down I would go for the tires and wheels. A new exhaust won't do you any good if your tires go flat or burst. Your tires are the second only to brakes. If you can get the wheels and tires and get the ships fixed you will like the look of your car better. I don't know about the exhaust as far as lossing power at least you don't have to worry about tires. A nice sounding exhaust and a dinged up ride aren't a good combo. On the other hand wheels and fresh rubber and fresh paint woohoo! LOL

I think I will have to follow suit on this one. Get the wheels and fix the paint. the exhaust won't make that much of a difference. but nice wheels will change the look of the car instantly. Plus with good rubber it will handle a bit nicer. Throw some springs in there and you are in buisness.
