Heard about Struts on National Back Order???

Heard about Struts on National Back Order???

i just got of the phone with the dealers and they tell me the noise in the front end are my struts, but they are on national back order because they might switch manufacturers or try to improve them.

But how long does that take?? i have to drive with a messed up car in the mean time???

what are my options, there has to be something i can do?

this can take months, am i correct??
i want to call nissan1 but they are closed on the weekends...

If the dealer is giving you accurate info about the struts being improved, that by itself is a good thing. However, it does not help with your immediate problem. It sounds like you are on the right track by calling Nissan. Also, check with other dealerships to see what they have to say.

parts are always on backorder.
but if it's true (very likely) another new strut is being designed by a 2nd company, you will just have to wait. Go ahead and call Nissan but that won't fix your problem anytime soon. Make sure to get a case #. Doesn't matter they are not open on the weekend. 1 more day or even a week won't make much of a difference on this.

If they don't want to replace you awhile, that is on them if something else goes wrong. but you shouldn't worry many have driven on bad struts for a long time unaware.
