Ricey intake question but...

Is the Berk short ram intake louder than the Fujita cold air? I honestly don't really care for the performance gains with either unit, but I want the sound to be loud. On my 3rd gen, I had a short ram configuration and the engine growl was very throaty on the VG engine. So...how does the short ram and CAI compare? I'd imagine the short ram would be louder since it's a wee bit closer to the cabin?

I know it's a tad ricey, but better to ask then guess the results.

If you missed it in the other thread, here is a video clip of the Fujita CAI in my car from inside the cabin:

http://www.6thgenmaxima.org/videos/fujitamaxima.wmv

Theres a throaty sound to it. When you hit the higher RPMs it can get really loud.

I have not heard the Berk in person but have heard that it sounds nice as well.

yeah, those few fujita clips sounds amazing.

I'm leaning towards the Berk at the moment since its a wee bit cheaper. Got any sound clips jsmithsole?

My friend has berk, fujita sounds a little deeper, maybe because of where it's located ?

i have the berk in my maxima and its def loud, my friend has an injen CAI (which im sure sounds almost exactly like the fujita) in his altima se-r. now i dont know if its because of the kind of car he drives, because honestly i doubt that considering how similar the cars are, but the injen is definatly louder then my berk.

I've had berk cai vs PR cai on my alti ser. Berk is quieter because of where the filter is located with the extension piece. The PR as a WAI was the loudest then the PR as a cai was about tied with the berkf or sound.
