Good buy on a '04??

I came across this '04 Max on eBay. Seems to be beat up pretty badly. The price for it though doesn't seem bad. I'm sure this auction won't last too long. Check out the hood! I wonder how this Max was wrecked or more importantly, what hit it! ): The parts alone will pay for the car itself. I wish I had the money, I would swoop this up! What do you guys think?

Wrong forum Engine parts may work, but hell, you could find a used one(engine) for 10x less.

damn. looks like he hit a pole head-on. with all the quarter-panel damage, the bodywork alone will cost $5k or so. his rear and front axels seem to be broken, and will prolly need replacement. those will run around $1k for both. plust hood, and whatever is muffed up in the engine bay.... you could get a regular used 2k4 for as much as this will cost to fix. unless you do bodywork and mechanical repairs yourself.

This thread is headed

The car is salvaged (read: effing jacked/non repairable) and from what I can gather he wants it for parts.

Maybe only driver side deployed.

If you want engine or trany, I'd look elsewhere.

The drivers air bag MAY have gone off, at least it should have. I am surprised the passenger bag didn't go off as well. The rest of the air bags would be worth some $$ on the market. I have the light grey leather interior but my armrest and floor mats aren't as dark as this cars set up, is that how the SE's w/ leather look?

I got dibs on the grill.

Also this is the se model with the sky view roof, so most likely it dont have hids, that wouldve been another good chunk of money

Don't worry about the body work... it'll buff right out.

I think the pole that was hit took care of any shimmy problems it may have had.

My shimmies were fixed, so count me as an 04 sans shimmy.

And I am puzzled why folks that think the 6th gen is gay, why do they hang out in the 6th gen forum, do they have gay tendencies?

There are many SE's that I see w/ DPP and skiview. Mine is one of them. I forge the sunroof for the gray interior.
