I am getting mines tinted this saturday. I want to stay within legal limit because im in New York and I travel to PA every once in awhile. I hear cops in PA give tickets like crazy over tinted windows.

Anyhow, I was thinking of getting it tinted at 212Motoring in Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn. Has anyone had any expirience with these guys, how was it. They guy says he will give my 3 year warranty against bubling, peeling etc.

Back and sides for $170. What you guys think.

i went with limo on both mine, they meter at 1%

 

I didn't get my ride tinted because I want to avoid the cops.
The last time they pulled me over for tints, it took them 30 minutes to finally tell me that my tints are too dark (30%).
This was in NJ btw.

I just had mine tinted and it looks well within the limit. I had them put #35 film on the back and #50 on the sides. I have a liquid silver and it looks awesome. It enhances the looks of the car, blocks UV and kinda of sharpens the image from inside, just like a filter on a camera would. I live in Brooklyn, NY and the installers said I can get away with #35 all around. BULL. Even #50 is not legal but since you can see who is inside with this one I should be able to easily get away with it. My interior is Black leather so overall it adds to the darkness of the car; once you open the door you can see that the tint is not dark at all. I didn't care about privacy much but the looks...I LOVE IT

 

I have to have the privacy. Its a must

 

Different people, different needs. I like the ways it looks whether the tint is dark as hell or light as......mine

This thread is on its second page and its the first time i have seen pic's attached with the tint numbers. The thread is doing well and should not be closed, so stop being .

Oh and im thinking of doing a 35% tint all the way around this week, and i was told to get the solar deflector stuff like on our sunroofs. Its expensive but comes with a life time warranty with my guys.

 

Dude....... Whats with the need to insult??? This isn't even your thread that you're defending? I could've sworn that I read a Fully detailed thread on tinting with pics and % here. Can't seem to find it now though.

 

Liquid Silver and plain black tint looks badass and i just found out that my tint isn't metallic, i thought "metallic tint" was just another word for quality but i went around looking for pictures and that type of tint looks wayyy to Ricy

I have had 6 Maximas so far and this is the first in 6 years it has not been silver. This time I tried the Coral Sand color and I have to say, it is a nice change.

I would like to tint these windows as well but I am not sure how black tint will look with the coral sand color.

POST 4 - sorry.. trying to fill the odd 15 reply rule so I can post my actual question concerning my 06 Maxima.

 

I did 5% on the back and 35 on the front doors...looks good and no cop problems

 

yeah i want to get tints on my new 06 smoke with black leather interrior max....what do u guys recommend?

 

dude i say limo tint in the back windows, and for the front go with the tint that's just legal in florida whatever that is... the darker it is the cooler it gets in your car... what happend to your white max?
