New OEM Nissan iPod Interface not Available

Ok so under the 2007 Maxima ther is a link to audio about the MP3 playback and the iPod interface that you can buy. It also says available for select older models. On the PDF it doesn't list the Maxima. BUT it does say requires the Bose stereo with SE models. So, as an 04 SE Max owner can I get the damn thing or not? Has anyone called on this?

Well since Nissan Dropped a cassette in the 04/05/06 Max, iPod has a cassette that you drop in with a cable that plugs into your iPod. So most already have a capability...

Yeah but there is a million threads on that... the cassette and the PAC are crap. Poor sound and no steering controls. I want to be able to hit next track on my wheel when I'm doing 85+ on i95, not mess around in the console for the iPod to switch the track.

IMO CD quality is better than MP3 so when I'm moving 86+ down the road I'm just as happy with my 6cd changer. Maybe my next ride...

I personally would like to drop in a CD-MP3 player (I can burn MP3's onto CD's) and that would work good for me. I could probably get about 200 MP3 songs on one CD, x that by 6 CD's and you could have 1200+ songs...

Well I contacted Courtesy Nissan and they indicated that this accessory will not work on our 6th gen Maximas so I guess the "top of the line" vehicle doesn't deserve 1st consideration... The next best option w/ an OEM system is the USA Spec PA11-NIS.

I have the 60gig ipod and the pac adapter. I spend more time looking for what to listen to than I do listening...

Our '05 Pathfinder plays MP3 CDs and it is great! I think we have at least 80-100 songs on one CD and it probably would fit more, I just don't remember. Great feature.

I have the same problem. I have a Creative Labs 5 gig mp3 player loaded with music. I need to organize my stuff in to favorites for my different moods. Otherwise I spend way to much time at the lights choosing my music. though going by artist helps find stuff.

It took me a long time to find a decent cassette adapter to run out of my player. I finally found a Panasonic one that is really quite decent and most of my stuff is either WMA or 160 KB/sec MP3 ( higher quality) and then find the volume adjustment that works best. It really sound quite good. I would prefer a different arrangement...next time.

Or you could get one that plays DVD's as well then you could brun 600-700 songs on one disc....myself I prefer my 8000 songs on the IPOD, just hit shuffle and you're off!!
