wiring help
i recently bought a pair of floor lights for my max and being the newb to wiring as i am, im kinda stuck on how to wire it. i dont really wanna wire it through the battery, sinec i heard there are extra spaces in the fuse box underneath the dash to hook other things up. the floor lights have a red wire (hot) with a fuse built into the wire as well as a black wire (negative, ground). here is the pic of the fuse box. sry its blurry but it just shows where the open spots are that i think i can plug these wires into. http://img224.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ya6ew.jpg
now comes my question.
can i even plug my wires into there. and if so, does the negative wire go in the right slot or does the positve wire go in the right slot? thanks.

if those are light you want to put in the footwels as a replacement to the stock lights, why dont you just splice the wires that go to the bulb holders you want to replace ?? that way you wont need any aditional swithces or anything to activate them and they wiil come on and go off just as the stock one did... i think this is the easiest way to do it...
hope that helps

well the one i bought already has a switch built in, an on off switch and allt he color controls and stuff. so i just need a power source. and this isnt really a replacement for the OEM floor lights caus i still have those in, its just an addition while u drive floor light thing.

alright nvm, i got it to work, thanks alot, last questio i have is how can i keep it on a solid color like red or something. wen it gets on red, it fades out and then opens up with blue and green again?

instructions should come with these setups..... usually there are certain button sequences for steady lights and sometimes you don't have the option to keep it one solid color..... check the packaging it came in or instructions..... if there aren't any then check online for instructions.....

ohh also be careful when hooking up other-than-oem setups to the car for warrenty purposes.... if you have anything electrical wrong with it nissan will try and pin you for aftermarket pieces saying you messed things up by tapping into their system.... I recommend setting it up as a standalone system like mine meaning not tied into any part of the car just the battery.... this will save in future problems.... good luck.... ohh if you are doing alot of aftermarket installs just go to the shack or any auto store and pick up a fuse box and build on that.... mount it somewhere out of the way and that will save in alot of troubleshooting later......
