Weird Security Problem

Hey guys,

Its been awhile since Ive visited these forums. Ive done a few things to the max, put some Black with polished lip 18x7.5 Kazera KZ-A's on the max, and I might be buying a zex kit here shortly.

But yesterday I ran into a problem with my max, It was working fine when I went into work, and then when I came out last night, I pressed my unlock on my keyfob, and it unlocked and relocked. Tried again, same thing. Started paying closer attention, everytime I do it, the security light glows for roughly 30 seconds. I dont know if i did something to trip some security feature or something, but it wont stay unlocked, even using the button on the inside of the car, it unlocks and relocks immediately. Nissan cant fit me in until Thursday, Id like to get this taken care of myself if theres something I can do.

Thanks in advance,

Brian

Hmmm try turning off the Auto-Relock function through the user menus. It shouldn't ever relock right away. I hope that if you turn it off completely it might help.

If that doesnt work try putting the key in door and locking/unlocking that way and see if it still does it?

Man, that's a strange issue. If these suggestions don't work, I'd take it to the dealer ASAP.

Well, that shish is weird man.

It was fubared for like 1 and 1/2 days, drove it to walmart, wasnt working, came out of walmart, and it worked fine. It also did this one time where I was teaching my gf how to drive a stick, and she stalled out, and the car went into limp mode (retarded timing, adjusted rev limit to 3500), it stayed like that for about 3 hours, then miraculously fixed itself. Should I still get these checked out before the warranty expires (which is a long way away but still).

Well, I'd at least let them know you are having the problem and get it documented. That way, even if they can't reproduce it they'll know that it happened... in case you have issues after your warranty expires.

However, based on my (and many others') experience, if the dealership can't reproduce it they won't be able to do anything for you. Although in this case I wonder if there is some sort of log kept of critical things such as this? If so, you might be in luck.
