Retarded Engine Light help...

I took my car to get its rotors turned and new brakes put on two weeks ago. When I went there my "Service Engine Soon" Light was on so I asked Nissan to look at it and tell me the verdict. Apparently they told me all it needed was a reset, until low and behold on the way home it came back on. So, I called and told them I was bringing it back the next day and on my way to work that day, it cut off, and they told me to drive it and see what happens. So two days later it came back on, and it has continued this ON and OFF cycle every two days for the past two weeks! anyone else have this problem or know a solution to it. What could be causing this...btw my 2005 only has 22K on it.

I would def., take it in! Be adamant about it.

BTW, your sig says you have an 06, yet you mention it's an 05. Which one? And regardless of which year, they need to fix that!!!!

Tell them to look at it. Even if the light is off, the code should
be stored in memory for them to retrieve.

I would take it into Autozone first to get the code retrieved for free, then take it to the dealer with the code in hand and raise hell!!
