Your not really going to find anything in that price range unless its used. You looking for something like this? Mines polished and it cost a little over 200 shipped I believe.

NICE grill....

What kind is that and where did you get it from? I'd like to put that on my Max.

Do you have a link to the site where you got it from?

these dont come with nissan emblems... you need to either buy one for ~45 bucks from dealer or remove one from the old grille..

how easy are these grills to put on???

I plan on buying a grill, but I am unsure if I should install it myself or have the dealership do it for me.

Very. Took me 15 minutes, 10 of which I spent chasing my son around the parking lot trying to get the last screw back.

Here is mine. Made by "Precision Grilles". About $130 and installed in 15-20 min. I took the Nissan emblem/badge off of my stock grille and used 3M tape to attach it to the new grille. It has a polished finish (very shiney)

You can always try the Ebay grilles, maybe someone on the forum has and can shed some light on the quality, and who they got it off.Theres 3 or 4 people selling them so it's a crap shoot as to who selling the 'good ones' I guess.
HERES AN EBAY LINK

I got my grille from grille4you.com. Good quality and fairly inexpensive. Both top and bottom billet grille comes out to about $120. As to emblem, you can peel it off the stock grille and attach to billet using double face tape.

on their website they have the aluminum grille marked as an insert and the stainless as a full replaement.
but it looks like it replaces your whole grille, true?
by the way ,your car is the one I showed the wife pics of when I told her we need a nice grille, thanks!

I just ordered the one in MrOlegs link direct from seller for $113 shipped.
The one OmarBadu listed is cheaper by $30+ but I'd rather get one from a seller that someone here has used and is pleased with, just me.
I almost ordered their stainless steel grilles, kinda sorry I didn't now for around$70 more ...

You are welcome, glad I could help.
By the way both aluminum and ss versions are the same. Aluminum is a little cheaper for obvious reasons. It is real nice and easy to install. Just let me know if you need any help when you get it.

What about black grilles, similar to the ones on Altimas and '07 Maximas - has anyone found aftermarket ones like that?

I DO like most of the modded grilles I've seen here in pictures. Most are very classy and really add to the look of the 6th gen Maxima.

That said, I'm happy to have the '07 model with the new factory-modified grille. One of the reasons I paid little attention to the 6th gen Max's is that I really didn't care for the look of the "tooth" grille, and was happy to retain my old 2002 car.

Once I saw that the 2007 grilles were a definite improvement, IMHO, it was a no-brainer to upgrade to the 2007.

The grill is about the only thing I hate on my new 06 SE.
