The 07s aren't everywhere in my area of the world (South Central Pennsylvania)... they just arrived. Most dealers don't have more than 2-3 on their lots, and some still have none. Those 07s that are here are mostly SEs and for some reason dealers in this area didn't receive ANY with Navi. I have contacted about 10 dealers around the area even contacted a few in Maryland and have them on the lookout.

I'm specifically looking for/ ordering an 07 SL, radiant silver/black(charcoal) leather interior, DPP, Sunroof, VDC w/full spare, Splash Guards, Spoiler, DVD Navi, Sirius Sat and mats. Nothing custom, just loaded.

I love the feel of the CVT. It's smooth...and fast!

There are a few threads here with both test drive and owner's comments, including mine. The majority of opinions from those who have actually driven one are very positive. Negative thoughts are generally supposition from folks who haven't driven a CVT Max, are concerned about its ability to handle engine mods, or are (legitimately) pïssed that Nissan dropped the 6 speed.

Bottom line... works well, very smooth, sounds different, faster than it feels or sounds, good gas mileage if driven conservatively, eats some gas if you bury your foot (but you are rewarded for it).

On top of all that, your passengers can put on their lipstick while your driving!

Thank you. It's a thrill to get up every day and drive to work. I don't even mind slow traffic - it gives me more time in the new car!

I think I saw the first "other" 2007 Max on the road yesterday. I caught a glimpse of the unique grille in my rear-view mirror in the Wyndmoor section - and it was also a Majestic Blue color.

A month has gone by and I still haven't seen another in Charlotte. My dealer has 19 in stock and tells me they haven't sold any other besides mine yet. Salesman told me that the boss told them to keep them hidden in the back until they get rid of their rather large '06 inventory. The other two Nissan dealer in the county have only two '07's each listed in stock. They had none when I leased mine - my dealer had four at the time.

OK, so I have the '07 SE, it's got the new spoiler, and now I find myself wondering about the little "lip" spoiler that I see on some older 6th gen Maxima's.

I was wandering around a different Nissan dealer at lunch, looking at his new stock of '07 Max's, a decent collection of colors and options, and I spotted a bunch of used Max's there too. Out of 7 SE's, 6 had NO "lip" spoiler on the trunk, and one did. My impression was that this would have been standard on an SE? Was it, on the '04 through '06?

I asked the salesman, who obligingly asked if I had any questions. His answer was that it was a standard feature of the SE's, and that 90% of the SE's produced had these "lip" spoilers. I pointed out that there were 6 sitting right in front of us WITHOUT the spoiler. He had no real answer. So I thought I'd ask the experts here at maxima.org.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Actually, when he asked if he could answer any questions, I was going to reply, "Probably not", but thought better of it...

So, does anyone know what the story is with the "lip" spoilers on the '04-'06 Max's? Were they options, were they part of a package?

They were options, I just bought an 06 SE with no spoiler, having to add it from the dealer.

Hi, everyone:
I haven't seen any 07s here in Canada yet. The website got recently updated from 06 to 07, so it's a good sign, I guess. Anyways, I just wanted to congratulate all of you who got the 07 Max! Awesome pictures of an awesome car! Even so my 98 GLE still fulfills my needs, I am so envious (in a good sense), and keep dreaming of owing one of these babies one day.

It will be very interesting to try the new CVT too...

My dealership (Courtesy Nissan) added the '07 spoiler to the website but it's not available. Why do they tease me? It says:

"Sorry, as of 8/22/2006, this item is not yet available from Nissan. At this time there is no release date from Nissan."

http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchan..._Code=A34-RSR7

There are paint selection options but they are all '07 colors as mentioned earlier in the thread. I guess we are on our own for finding someone to paint it "Liquid Silver".

For what it's worth... It's listed at $279.30 but I am not sure if that includes paint.

(bottom right hand side of the page)

If you select the '04 lip spoiler and select a paint color the total doesn't change so I would assume paint is included.
