? about Bose unit overheating?

My 06 bose unit does not like the heat; the car may sit for 1-3 days and then when I get in it and start the car and turn the radio on it will come one for 5-10 seconds and then shut off and will not power on. It seems that if the tmep drop it will work fine-later in the day/evening/night, etc...
any ideas on where to look or has anyone had this problem yet?

OK, that's a first. Trip to the dealership might help...

6 Bose equipped Max's - none have ever done anything like that.

Definitely not normal... time to visit the dealer. Sorry, and good luck!

LOL. thats an opposite to the problem I had. Last winter when it was brick outside it would not start. 30-40 minutes into the ride it would start blasting on the highway scaring that sheet outta me.

Dealer replaced the amp and the unit was working showing numbers, tracks volume and all.

The problem is that it is is sparodic; the past few days it has worked fine...I am afraid that if it is not acting up when it goes to the dealership and it is not acting up then they will say there is nothing wrong with it..
