Bluetooth question

Hey guys, just bought a 2006 Nissan Maxima SL with DPP yesterday. I was wondering where I could find a list of cell phones that is compatible with the bluetooth car kit on the maxima. Thanks.

I believe that any cell phone containing the bluetooth technology will work with your car......its pretty universal.... I could be wrong though.

Congrats on the purchase, by the way

They are not all compatible, here is the list of compatible phones. http://www.nissanusa.com/bluetooth/

I got the razor v3 and it works good.

My Alltel V3c works great. Alltel & Verizon are the only carriers I know of that use this CDMA version of the V3.

I also have a question. I just recently purchased my 2007 Maxima SE, Elite Package, black / black leather, with nav - fully loaded and it took me MONTHS to find it.

It is amazing in every way, but I wanted to know if it was compatible with the Sidekick 3 bluetooth. The sidekick 3 came out after the list of compatible phones was put on Nissan's site, but I don't know if it is off because it is truly not compatible.

Does anyone know?

Since bluetooth is an international standard, just about any recent bluetooth capable phone and all future phones should work without any issues.

I was surprised to find out that my 2006 does not support displaying of caller id info on the navigation display. It only shows "Phone". Does anyone know if the 2007 does?

if your phone isnt crap it will work fine.. i have 4 phones paired with my max right now. they are all different manufacturers. blackberry 7100g, motorola slvr, treo 600, and a samsung d357.. the initial use of it is rather clunky but once you have the phone paired you are good to go. the only pain of the system is that you cant add numbers while driving. why i dont know but its rather stupid :[

I have the 07 with Navigation and it does not show the number. I was very surprised to see this. You would think that this would be a simple thing to do and is really necessary. I usually have my blackberry sitting in my cup holder, so I can peak at it when a call comes in, but I would really like it to be displayed on my screen.

I just bought an 06 SE with DPP and connected my Verizon Samsung A-950. I use it all the time and it's great, but am pretty dissapointed that the caller-id doesn't show up on the screen. I thought maybe it was just my phone, but seems to be that everyone can't see the caller-id..bummer

Tell your Max to open wide and say, "Ahhhhh" and you will be able to see if it has bluetooth. If so, get it to a doctor right away.

I have a Blackjack and it works fine. It works much better when you speak normal and not yelling. This is a great feature for manual tannies.

my Blackberry 8310 works seamlessly with the bluetooth, took about 10 minutes to pair the phone and add a few numbers

all I have to do is get in the car with the ignition on and it links right up

Mine links up a little TOO easily... the other day I was in my truck and my daughter was in the Max following me. I was trying to talk on the phone and every time our distances would close a little it kept transferring to the Bluetooth in the Max.

I just followed the manual and my Blackberry 8830 paired just fine. The only problem I am having is that the person I am calling can barely hear me. I can hear them fine though, so I don't know what's going on.
