What's with the auto door locking?

Left my 04 running and closed the door to run into the gas station. Came back 3 minutes later and the car was totally locked. What's up with that? Is there something wrong with my ride, or am I stupid or something? Fortunately, a very nice Chicago homicide detective was gassing up and drove me home and back for the spare key...

Had you just washed the car. I noticed one day, after washing the Max, that the door locks kept trying to lock as I drove down the road.

I figured it was water on a connections. It only ever happend once...it was weird.

Normally the car does not auto lock. Also, I notice that sometimes when I put the keys in my pocket the lock button get pressed.

Check your menu settings, there is an auto lock option for 1 min, 5 min or off...

that has also happened to me in this past winter... i remember some water fell through the gaps of the window switchs and the doors would lock when ever i would raise my window.. odd.. but a few hours later i checked on it and it stopped..

that will happen to me intermittently in my '02...I never leave my doors closed if my keys are inside just because of it...it's only happened like 3 times in the past 2 years of ownership, and two of the times i was right on the outside of the car when i heard it lock by itself...weiiird
