Halogen projector material

Can someone tell me what the halogen projector is made of? Is it metal like the HID or plastic?

Thanks

It is metal as well, unless what I was looking at was something different, but I doubt that. Why do you ask? Do you have halogens and are thinking HID and don't want to burn anything?

Exactly, want to get the HID upgrade for the 9012. I think it's the H13 bulb and I don't want to melt anything. I've seen the picture for both projects as well but I cannot determine if the halogen projectors are made of metal from the pictures alone.

9005 style bulb is the proper size as a direct replacement. I was just looking at the same thing (in pervious HID threads) due to the plethora of group buys for HID's.

In the group deals Maximabest has something that was supposed to be a direct replacement it mentioned in the 2nd group deal that the direct replace made from helios was the h13 conversion kit. But I've also read 9006 & 9005. I was thinking of geting the h13, but I am little confused.

The H13 bulb is definately not a drop in affair for our headlamps. You can see what it looks like here at the bottom of the page: http://www.danielsternlighting.com/p.../products.html

Its dramatically different from the 9005 dimensons that our 9012's have. This webiste here provides some good info on the 90011/90012 bulbs. http://www.hirheadlights.com/

On a related note, I just found an H3 HIR bulb that may be a drop in for our fog lamps. http://www.offroadtuff.com/IPFbulbs.htm

The thing is it does say in the link that it works on Nissans 2004+ and that the dealer charges $67 which is about right for the 9012. Can anyone who bought the H13 conversion kit confirm? I know a few guys on here have.
