I wouldnt bet on it seeing as how many people have stated that the holes are on the front of the trunk lid. anyways, post pics because if theres only a couple u might be able to plug em and use some touch up paint.

07 Spoiler!

I checked with my stealership up hear in Montreal...they said that it's not even listed as a part on their computers. So I guess I'm also in line for this Group Buy if we can arrange it. Up here the big thing has been the G35 Sedan spoiler for $400 painted and installed. But I think the 07 spoiler is way nicer as I have seen both side by side at the stealership. This will be my next mod!

Not To Burst Anyones Bubbles..but If You Have The Factory Lip Spoiler (which Is A Bit*h To Get Off By The Way) The Holes Are No Re-usable. Once The Lip Spoiler Is Removed You Will Have 5 Holes That Need To Be Filled By A Body Shop And Then Painted. The 07 Spoiler Does Not Mount Like The Lip Spoiler...just Fyi. So I Will Be Having The Body Shop Repaint My Front Bumper And Do The Spoiler....btw It Will Look Sick On Onyx.

Is the body shop going to install the spoiler too? and how much to fill and paint? also are they going to paint the entire trunk lid or just the filled area?

I would have to hate to paint my trunk lid, because no matter how good the paint job you can always notice.

damn im glad you said that. My buddy who does body work thinks im crazy along with everyone else ive said it too. Ive never seen paint work look as good as paint that has been re-sprayed!! Well, im glad mine didnt come with the lip spoiler. crappy part is that i bought a lip spoiler that i dont need anymore.

OK so the 5 holes are not reusable but do they need to be plugged and repainted or are they going to be covered by the new spoiler and all that has to be done is to fill them with silicone. I though that the new spoiler would cover the area where the old one is sitting.

I don't want to paint my trunk cause next thing you know people will say that the car was rear-ended.

Peace.

I just order a 07 spoiler on Ebay for $175 painted. I just noticed that it looks way better without the Nissan burger under the spoiler. Can't wait to have it installed.

07 Spoiler arrived. I'll have it installed next week since there are holes to be filled. I won't be stacking a spoiler on top of another. Paint seems to be good.

This last pick shows the paint. I'll have to pay a shop to remove the old lip spoiler fill the holes and install the new one.

post pics when everythings done, im startin to lean towards this, i like the look of the 07 spoiler for the car, gives the rear a better side profile, which i think is the worst angle of the car.

Damn, couple of you guys got a great deal on the spoiler, I wouldn't mind dishing out $200 for this piece. If you guys bought it off ebay, can you leave me the username of the person you brought it from

EDIT : Found a seller (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2004-...spagenameZWDVW)

$200 shipped, I'm in...

Yeah, I was quick to edit my post.

Now on a side note, I don't know if it might of been a custom spoiler or not, but a 2007 Maxima was in the mall as a show car, and the spoiler on the car wasn't the one that everyone here is talking about.

The spoiler that was on that Maxima had a gap in between the trunk and itself, kind of had a curve too it, none the less, looked better then this spoiler right here, any one know what spoiler I might be talking about?

This is the same as the new 07, it's basically a copy:

From ebay link:

The one posted in the first link was bought from yet another seller, it looks different than the one in the link you posted (where I bought mine) Are you sure it went all the way through? That was discussed because it has a gap near the brake light but no pass through...not sure what you saw. You need to carry a camera with you always!!

Also see post #97,SmokinMaxSE bought his from the same seller as me, it's more like OEM.

The one that I saw had a CLEAR gap in between, it was also a CURVED spoiler, this one is basically as straight as can be.

I will try to look for more pics, hopefully I can find one!!

Is anyone putting their spoiler on the existing lip spoiler? I just saw 2005 Maxima at Walmart this evening with the spoiler installed on the existing lip spoiler...I guess they didn't want to fill in the holes....

I'm thinking of getting this spoiler too...please, anyone that installs it themselves...show install pic's...

One question though...some folks have mounted it via the mounting tape only...I know it's 3M tape...but how well will it hold up to water or possibly ice freezing under it? Just curious if anyone has any experience or thoughts on that one. I figure bolting is the best bet. Do you have to remove the lining on the inner lid of the trunk to get this done? Where do you hook up the 3rd brake light? I know folks have send to the existing brake light...but do your have to route the wiring to the light or to the wire harness on the side of the trunk lid? Thanks all!

Bringing this one back since I'm like 4 months too late.

I've been considering the '07 spoiler as well. A couple of questions you guys MIGHT be able to answer for me.

What's the difference between the fiberglass (spoilersolutions) and the ABS molded spoiler? Nothing? Fiberglass might crack? Just curious.

Was there ever a GD done for these? Right now, I'm looking at the spoilersolutions version ($200 painted and shipped):
