I was trying to purchase an SE-R before I got the Max. Now that I'm in the Maxima, I couldn't trade all the options just for speed alone. Now a G35 coupe keeps luxury and speed all at the same time.

You can buy new SE-R's with quite a few options. I agree that the Max is certainly more luxurious. I would buy a new Max again when I need a new car -- but only with a 6-speed manual. This is not likely to happen.
