My tweeter is not working once again!

So about 2 months ago, my left tweeter (bose stock system) stopped working, then all of a sudden it came back on after about 2 weeks, now it just stopped working again. Any ideas?? What should I check? How do I remove the tweeter to check the connections? What should I do guys besides take it to the dealer? I mean, I have extended warranty and its supposed to be covered, but for all I know the dealership will blame the tweeter failure on the fact that I have added a subwoofer to my stock system and will probably use it as an excuse as to why its not covered under my warranty.... what should I do to diagnose this problem?

How hard is it to remove sub and amp? If its a pain, just pay the $40 diag fee and get'er DONE.

Diag fee is not $40 at the dealers here, (I wish it was) its an hourly rate of either $75 or $100...Yes I know this is retarded. And yes, the sub and amp in my car is a pain to remove. But either way, any idea what the problem is or what I can maybe do myself to test it? Thanks

If your still under warranty go to dealer and have them swap it out (headunit) cause they changed out my tweeter and it still does it so i dont bother with the dealer anymore i just smack the **** out of it and it works for weeks then i'll hit a good bump and its out again

lol I wish it worked for me too when I hit it. I think maybe I should take the tweeter apart and take a look at the wires to see if anything is loose and maybe I should do the same thing to the headunit and amp. I just dont know how to take them apart just yet.

you can take the tweeter out and have a look see. take the door panel off, then you can remove the sails that hold the tweeters.

Quality products we bought huh? Anyways, do you have an aftermarket sub installed or anything? Be sure to let me know how it goes at the dealer please so I can know what to expect when I take mine in. Thanks

I had my front drivers side tweeter go out about a month ago. I read back then to smack the side of the stereo, and it worked. Haven't had a problem since. If this is a common problem, I would guess its a connection at the stereo. Of course these could all just be coincidences.
