The reason I ask is because, side by side, they look very similar.
The only difference is that the Altima does not have the dot matrix on the top of the windshield; making it look cleaner.

If anyone knows...

Thanks...

Did someone by chance smash your rear window and you coincidentally have a buddy that has an Altima and you just so happened to NOT like him the past few weeks. Because of this you are planning on taking his keys when hes at work and going out to his car and taking the window out and putting it on your car?

Just a prediction

I drove an altima until I totalled it two months back. The windshields are definately different. The windshield of the max seems shorter, and curves up at a steeper angle than my old alti.

btw I'm a newbie. looking forward to posting here.

I'm glad I upgraded too

I was going to wait for the 07 altima to come out - the engine improvements seem mighty tasty, but snagged a deal on an 06 maxima my local dealer was trying to push off the lot instead.

I always regarded the maxima as an overpriced, gimmicky version of the altima. After test driving a few max's though (se and sl) and now after having owned both, I really can appreciate the differences between the two. On the surface they appear to be very much the same car, but the overall quality of the max is definately a step up over the alti. All the annoying quirks of the altima have been set straight with the max. Good stuff.

I'm working on swapping an OEM HID system into my max per the instructions on the HID thread here. I snagged all the parts on ebay individually for a pretty good steal. I'll let you guys know how it goes
