What if my wife ran into a curb?

and the 2 front wheels dont point in the same direction, and the drivers wheel is pushed up like this..
and it makes some slight clunking noises as I turn the steering wheel from all the way right to all the way left?
I took all the wheels off and I saw nothing bent or out of place except the rim and mudflap. The way the wheel is pushed up a little makes me think the control arm is bent. Any advice is welcome.

To answer your topic question.... shoot her.

As for the damage.... DAMN!!!!!!!! She really hit a "curb"? It looks more like she was 4x4'ing in your ride. Take it in and have them put it on the rack to see whats up. The Max is very sensitive to the road when all the parts are aligned correctly, can't imagine what your drives like now.

Thanks for your unanimous(?) input. unfortunately she is the bomb otherwise! This is the 3rd time since we got this car that she has done damage to it. But its just a car and I cant really keep her from driving it seeing as how we sold our individual cars to get this one. Oh well.

WTF???? I wouldnt let her drive ever again. I have a place for aftermarket wheels if you need it. They are like $250.00 a piece for your wheels. PM me....as for the rest, I would say check out 1stnissanparts.com for the bumper stuff(always get the parts yourself, dont let the body shop rip you off..unless its an insurance job) I have bought every single things for my previous max from there, and they have the cheapest OEM stuff I have found.

BTW, why is the rim in the 1st pic (which I think is aftermarket) different from the one in the 2nd pic (which I believe is stock)? or am I "seeing things"?

------>To answer your topic question.... shoot her<------

Agreed!

Women Drivers!!!!!!!! ????????????

You guys suck!!!

I have NEVER curbed a rim! I have been driving for 15 years and haven't had more than one 'minor mishap'!
Chauvinist Pigs!!!!! Sexist Pigs!!!!!!

I still think you ought to meet her half way and offer her a tricycle! My hubby do that to my ride, he will be lucky if I let him sit in the backseat again!!!!

that was kinda sexist and prejudice, but it is hard to ignore the stats..for example....wife's first car (volvo s40) destroyed the windshield when car was one month old...wife's second car (mb ml 320) rear ended a lamp post when car was a few days old....wife's third car (nissan quest) ran into the side of garage entrance when parking front and back bumper damaged... my prior car (mb slk230 amg) although not her fault, managed to tail a bigrig which sandblasted the whole front painjob of the car.
that's why she's never allowed to drive my maxima.
i didnt even mentioned the numerous times she hit the curb and damage the wheels of all three cars.

Check tie rod and the strut. Control arm is pretty think to bend. Tie rod and struts would bend before the the control arm gets damage. Im sure your alignment is off?

Exception noted!

Ok, so I am sorely out numbered! But, Dangit, I am a good driver!!!! As is my twin!!! Oh yeah, and my 13 year old Daughter, (And yes, I taught her to drive a standard at 12) . I hope she busts y'all out!

It's not ALL women mind you!

My neighbor has a max too, and I thought he was a jerk for not letting the wife near it, until I saw his rim and door dings!!!!

Just a side note, he just got ANOTHER ticket yesterday........Women are bad drivers?

I had to put the stockers back on as the rims are useless now.

Alignment is super-off. I will test drive it today to see if I have to tow it to a shop or not.

wow dude that sucks! id put her on permanent punishement!

if i was u caldeputy id probably stab my wife. no disrespect to ur wife but she sounds liek the type of person id scream at on the road because she cut me off while laughing and giggling on the phone.

while i always defended women when ppl dissed their driving skills, ive been being proven wrong every single day
