in-dash lcd screen (not dvd player)?

hey guys. i have a dvd player right now where the cd-changer/cassette used to be, with my oem screen on top. now my next project is to get an lcd screen (~7" or so) that'll fit on top and that has two inputs, one for the dvd player and the second one to be interfaced with the OEM info through an RGB-to-RCA converter box. which screen can you guys recommend? mustn't be a pc monitor because it'll mainly be used as a second screen to my dvd player and the resolutions wouldn't match...

any help greatly appreciated!

Wait you can do that? We had discussed this before. How will you get the stock info to display? More info please...

And myself and Tek have the NESA 7" screen, it's a perfect fit:

thanks buddy. that looks good, and if i end up not liking it, it at least gives me something to look for.

the interfacing is done by hooking up the oem info that goes into the screen as RGB through an adapter that converts the signal to digital and gives you an RCA connection that you can then connect to your screen. that's at least how my installer told me he's done it and he offered to do it for me. i think i quick google search shows an alpine version of it, there's more than one in the market though:-) thanks for the link to the screen

Interesting, doesn't seem possible the way our screens are set up but I'd like to see it for sure!!

Here's a close up pic of the screen so you can see how clean it fits:

i'm pretty sure this is what he was talking about, although i haven't verified with him. he said he can get it for me from one of his retailers, but i think this is it.
