Always have...

I have always loved the Max since mid to late 80's... Got my first one in 92, and at the time for a car to have 190 hp with 4 doors stock you had to pay 30 to 40k. When I got my 04, same thing to get a car with mid to upper 200's in hp you either had to spend mid to upper 30's or buy used or get a Nissan product. Gotta love what Nissan has been able to do over the years.

features, power, and of course style

just got a brand new 07 max black on black with driver preferred. love it. the boss has incredible sound, a lot better than i expected. i havent even truly tested it yet. and the features i got were surprisingly more useful than i thought. i originally wanted the driver preferred because it would come with the bluetooth. but now i've grown to love the other features. like the guy earlier who was talking bout how he grew on the heated steering wheel, i kind of grew on the rear sonar system. i mean, i was indifferent about it, so i was just like whatever, who needs that? but now i see that it really does make my driving experience a little easier.

anyways, im a first time car owner, and basically dont kno anything about what i should do to the engine. i wanna make some noticable improvements on hp without spending over a 1,000. For now.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I wanted something with more class, comfort, and power than my previous vehicle. Looked at G35, Lexus 330, Acura TL, and Max. Quickly narrowed it down to TL or Max. The TL was very nice but significantly more money. Plus, the Maximum felt much more responsive off the line and at low rpm than the TL. I wanted to be able to merge safely into traffic which was a real problem in my previous car. The TL could do the job but the Max could do it better and cheaper. Also, the Max had features I liked which the TL didn't have. I have had my Max since 04 and it my judgement is still it is a great value and you can not go wrong with the VQ engine.

It was more of an impulsive buy for me. I signed on the dotted line after getting an offer I couldn't refuse.

Right on wrj. And welcome to this site -- there are not many of us here who are seniors (over 60), so it's nice to have another closer to my age. lightonthehill is the most well known senior on this site, and he posts many interesting, accurate and well-thought-out points.
