Sunroof doesn't close!!!

Any of you guys have an electrical problem with the sunroof? Today was a sunny day and I decided to crack it open, but the sliding switch did not even engage it. So I decided to try the moonroof switch, and it started working, as I press the switch in UP position, the sunroof starts sliding out in like 3" increments. Its like the main switch is dead but the moonroof switch acts like the sunroof switch. If u press the moonroof switch in DOWN position, the roof slides back, but again not in a smooth controlled motion but with increments of 3". So basically I have to keep pressing the moonroof switch to operate the sunroof. What gives? I tried turning the car on and off, still doesn't work, today I will try resetting the car and see what happens. Please let me know if there's an easy solution to this. Otherwise, I'll be taking her to the damn stealership.

Don't worry (yet), It is an easy fix! Check the owners manual for 'resetting/reprogramming the sunroof'. If the battery has been disconnected for ANY reason, the sunroof needs to be 're-recognized'. I don't have the book in front of me, but it's in there!

Good luck and let us know if that fixes it!

Thanks for the prompt reply. Yeh I resetted my ECU like a month ago, but it was really cold here in Northeast so I didn't even bother with the sunroof 'till today. I'll def. take a look in the owner's manual, thanks again.

Ok, yes the owner's manual had a fix on the sunroof switch. I had to press DOWN on the moonroof switch for two seconds to reset the sunroof switch, while the sunroof is fully closed. Thanks for your help 4MySwee.
