Guys who have the OEM navi option...
hey, i was wanting to display the cd track title name so i set up cd-text within the burning program. but for some reason, its not reading anything after track 12 of 19. what program[s] are you guys using to accomplish this? TIA. i am planning on reburing it at a lower speed to see if that does anything.

I just grabbed the keys, ran out to the garage, no go!
When I create the cd, it even asks me if I want to name the tracks and artists. I did the step by step thing and it isn't working!
Come to think of it, store bought cds aren't reading the labels either!

Track text (and album name text) can appear on the non-navi display too (in the '07). By pushing the [CLOCK/DISP] button while a disc is playing, you can scroll through the choices to display the album name or track title. It appears on the second text line of the display. You have to clear out the MPG display to have it appear.
There are select few discs out there (store-bought) that come with CD Text. I have only a couple in my large collection. The feature was adopted by Sony for awhile back around 2000 or so, so many Columbia or Sony labeled discs from that era have the potential to have the CD text feature.
Home-made CD's depending on software can add the CD text onto your discs, as well as mp3 discs, and those work with the Max's display feature too.

I have an 05 Max without nav and my cd text works fine. It displays the name of the artist/title on fm radio stations too. I use nero as well and have never had a problem before. When you burn an mp3 to an audio disc...cd text does not come from the burning program, its actually embedded in the mp3. So if the mp3 does not have cd text embedded it might display the file name or none at all depending on what the burning program recognizes as cd text. Just be sure when you use nero you like the name under track, because this is the text that will be displayed. If you do not like it you can double click on each track and change the artist and track title to your liking. And finally make sure you check the box that enables you to write text onto the cd.
I dont believe there is an autoscroll feature, but like someone said uptop you can scroll through the complete title, by turning the ****.

Not many (store bought) CDs have labels included. I've never had a problem with any of the CD's I've made, if you have decent burning software it should rip the track / title info from the mp3 and label accordingly on the CD.
