In dash 6 Disc cd player not working.

Saturday driving in the MAX, listening to music, all of a sudden no music, tried to change to another cd no good, took all the cd’s out and put new cd’s in no luck keep getting “CHECK DISC” on the display. Radio and the tape player are working ok. I am over 36k so the Stealers will not cover it. Can anyone help on what I should do and if they had this problem and how they were able to resolve it.

I have had these problems, BUT.......I have a warranty still, so I took it in and have had it replaced a few times!

Maybe try a smaller audio shop near you?

Can you eject the CD back out? Those changers can get stuck sometimes. It is possible to open it up and pull the CD's out manually. It's not real fun, but it is possible.

I had this problem, but I'm covered up to 75K, so it was covered under warranty.

I had a similar problem where the cd's wouldn't play, eject, nor would it allow me to change cd's. Took it in and they said there was a "mechanical failure" within the cd player. I was still under warranty so they just replaced it. I'm still waiting on the cd's that were in there when they took it though.

call up Nissan Consumer Affairs and report your dealership

thats all, they will get you the assistance, granted you are still within factory
warranty status.
