You guys are funny. $240 is about right for the rear brakes. of course its cheaper to do it your self but some people are just not mechaniclly inclined. No I dont work for Nissan but i have worked for Honda, Pepboys, and now Midas. We charge $200 for the rears. This includes resurfacing, but in light of the new industry trend towards "pad slapping" the price will be about 160 for a pad slap. As for the guy who said "Just buy some $20 brake pads" damn homie dont be so cheap. you can get a decent pad for about $60. Cheaper pads have a tendecy to squeal, fade, and break apart from the backing plate..

I can have good brake job done front and rear for $240. I even see $49/axle ads, but don't try those (don't go cheap with safety). Have you registered @nissanusa.com ? They send me coupons all the time and so does my dealer. They have $89 brake job coupon, assuming they will charge extra for re-surfacing, it shouldn't cost $240/rear.

Man I'd be embarrased to make posts like these. You can get a pair of your favorite pads for the rear and if you are not inclined on doing the job yourself any mechanic at any gass station will change the pads for you for about $40. AND NO, don't pay $240 because resurfacing is included. It is NOT needed with every pad change.

The dealer will re-surface rotors when they change the pads so that next time you need it done they will tell you "we can't do it again" and hit you up for $$$ by forcing you to buy new rotors because these are too thin to be "shaved" again.

I had my front pads changed by a dealer and they resurfaced (eff'd) the rotors so beadly that my mechanic said that this is the worst job he has ever seen. I went back to the dealer, made fuss and they had to replace the rotors.

The pads i got were 85 bucks for all 4 ...they were nissan OEM, and work fine. They are good pads and unless your doing track racing your not goona notice the diff .....u should do them yourself though.its too simple not to.
