Goodbye Max, hello G35x

I have to say farewell to my max. I just traded it in for 2006 G35x.
Here are some pics from the dealer. Picking it up tomorrow. Very excited.

Seems more cramped in the rear... but the ATTESA AWD should be a treat in wet or slippery conditions.

ENJOY HER MANG!!!

I just saw your post on g35driver I am perry05g35 I traded my 2002 Maxima for my 2005 G35. At first I thought my Maxima looked better than my G35 but after a couple modds I never looked back. You made a great choice there are a lot of pros to having a G35 over a Maxima!

Thanks for good words everyone. I will remain a memeber of Maxima.org no matter what car I have.

Xoomer, the dealer pretty much paid for all mods and asked me to keep everything on the car except intake.

Nice car, G35 looks better than the max in my opinion, especially with a few cosmetic mods.

I know, what the heck....I'll stick around for a good while longer considering a house is the first thing on my list for the future. Maybe in 3-4 years I will get a BMW...but the Infiniti line isnt pulling me from my 6th gen.

Negative, it uses the same frame/chassis as the G35 coupe, which is a stretched frame/chassis of the 350Z, and the same chassis that is used for the Murano and FX series of vehicles. It's the primary passenger RWD chassis used for all Nissan vehicles. Notice the G35C and the G35 sedan (for 2006) have the same wheelbase, 112.2 inches (also the FX series has the same wheelbase, the shortened Z frame/chassis is 104.3 inches in comparison).

Correct - the Murano is basaed on the Altima platform - totally different from the FX - FX shares the same platform as the G & Z.

Yes, sorry about the Murano mix up. The Murano, Altima, and Max all share the same platform. The Murano has a 111.2 inch wheelbase, same as the Max, the Altima has a 110.2 inch wheelbase, but they do in fact all share the same underlying platform, the newly announced Altima coupe uses the same platform as well.

Add the Quest to that list.

Goodbye Max, hello G35x

Nice ride. The only problem is going to be the higher fuel costs.
