$27,000? It stickered for $30,000 in 2004 if its a DPP like mine. Granted its low miles...but i think the mods detract from its value more than add to it, its tough to find a buyer with the same taste..Id be suprised if it sold for any more than blue book but good luck asking that.

The problem is guys that the new maxima has a bad reputation but deserved. It's made in USA and the quality has just dropped. The interior is poor compared to the rest. The drive and turning radius is ridiculous. So the supply on the market is a lot. I remember in 2001 people paid list price for the maxima now with the new model already heavily discounted by dealer new.

I say buddy try to get that price otherwise drive and enjoy it since you put all the effort and money.

There is a recall on the '07 Max.

Quality whooped the **** outa my 02 maxima and previous models I have ridden in so I dunno where your statement is coming from. I agree with some comments above, the asking price is rediculous and if anything those mods will make the car worth less, most people wanting a 6th gen are usually older and probably not looking for kits, wheels, power mods, etc. Thats just what I see in my area though so good luck with that.

The 2002 maxima had some issues, but the 2001 maxima and infiniti with the 3.0 engines are almost perfect. The workers at my dealership all seem to buy the 00-01 I30, saying the best nissan made.

So far my '05 has less issues than my '00; by less I mean zero, compare to ignition coils and o2 sensors in the first year of my '00. I agree the '00 has nicer touches inside with use of softer plastics, but not poor by any means. I do dread reading about some common issues with some '04's, but I have not experienced any with my '05 with 21k miles. As for the turning radius it's usually poor, but sometimes it surprises me.

As far as Chern's car, he can get near $27k if he find a buyer who likes what he's done. Otherwise, it would be hard press to get more than $19-20k in his condition. Sad to see him go...
