04 Maxima - iPod Interface - help?

I want to connect my iPod to my Bose sound system in my 04 where it's integrated, where I can see/control the song on the screen - what's the part #? website? anything? can ANYBODY link me directly to a website that sells this part?

Thanks!

According to my dealer (who installed it for a customer on a 2004) and the installation instructions for the Maxima iPod adapter, it SHOULD work with the 2004. I have no idea why all online stores list it as only being compatible with the 2005 and above (maybe they know something?). I've purchased one, but haven't had the chance to install it yet on my 2004... I will soon...

Today, I just install, myself, USASPEC PA11-NISS i-Pod to Nissan car stereo interface and it really works great. Their web site is www.usaspec.com. I bought it at the_auto_apperal_store at e-bay for $135.00. It takes me like two hours to install it. I mounted it in the console compartment under the arm rest and it fits like factory install. I'm able to control tracks, play list, random, etc from the steering wheel or radio controls. If you need specific guidelines on how to install it, let me know at kikepeluca@yahoo.com, and I will be more than glad to share some hints and photos.

I just picked my Nissan OEM ipod adaptor up and took my glove box out, but the parts guy forgot to give my the harness instructions so I don't know what goes where. Should be able to get them tomorrow unless someone here has them.

pls. keeps us updated, you are not the only one trying to find the best way to install the ipod to our maximas, I hope Monotaur will find some time soon to install this interface, acording to his imput I'll see if I buy this interface, a little bit expensive but if I can see the song info on the radio screen I think it's worth it.
One thing not so clear, it easier to install this interface through the dass, or it easier to install it through the glove box????
Thanks

I installed the OEM Nissan Ipod Interface on my 05 max by removing the glove box and the only hard part of it was disconnecting the two cables from the head unit. The release button on the plugs were very stiff. But other than that it was pretty easy to install, definetly not worth paying the stealership to install.

So let me understand this. you installed this by removing the glove box. what wires did you disconnect and what did you do with it?

Installed

I installed my ipod interface for the factory head unit. From Neo Car Audio. I works great sound quality is awesome. I can control everything the head unit or steering wheel controls.

or
http://www.mp3yourcar.com/

Only downfall is that ipod info doesn't display on head unit. Honest to God it took 15mins to install and put everything back together.
