This is how I fixed the vibrating 3rd taillight problem
Well I know this is a highly-discussed topic on here, so I decided to post how I solved it.
I didn't want to use any sound deadening material like dynamat or w/e, because it's all different colors, I needed something invisible. I was going to use styrofoam or something, but it wasn't clear either. Looking around the house I found some left over fish tank tubing and wouldn't ya know it, worked perfect. I pulled out the light, cut the tubing into 4 peices, and super glued each peice to the corresponding spot on the light. I taped it up, let it dry, took the tape off - works great. It's clear, you can barely see it, if anything it looks like a halo light. Stops the rattle, like it's supposed to, fits very snug against the window. You can pickup some of this tubing at any pet shop, walmart, etc. Any place that sells fish tanks/accessories - couple bux.
I'll take pix soon,
-Mike
