New mods to the Max...finally.

Well I finally got my spoiler installed, also add the yellow fogs and added an amp and power cap to the system. (along with a complete re-wire and Boston SL-65's in the rear doors)

First, spoiler shots. I love the new look it gives my car!!

Second, the yellow fogs. These look sweet too!!

Lastly the stereo upgrade:

Oh and I got new tires yesterday as well. I downgrade a bit to the Toyo Proxes 4 *from T1-R's)

Jay, did you have the lip spoiler? if so, did you have to fix the holes and repaint the trunk?

yaup yaup, they are the 14815 model! That is the exact muffler that I have been planning on getting for quite some time now, I probaly will some time in the spring! They look so shiny and nice and they still maintain a nice "luxurious" look. You can get them shipped for $140 a piece off of ebay. Now for the sound, i'm not too sure, but from everything that I have read about Magnaflows they should give off a nice low tone that resembles the sound of the Infiniti FX!!!

I believe the mufflers Jay has are the 14816. They are the same ones I have. If your wanting tone, make sure to go with an aftermarket resonator as well. BTW, car looks great J... As usual

Well I know that on 6thgenmaxima.org another member showed his 14816 mufflers and jsmith said that he must have 14815 because his (jsmith's) are noticably smaller...jsmith chime in please

Yes I did, it was too much with both plus all it did was rattle anyways!

KC is correct, 14816. They sound sweet, just waiting now to work with Cattman on headers/y-pipe to finish up the job! (just running mufflers now)

The T1-R's are an amazing tire. The only problem is they only lasted me for 12 months, I can't be dropping close to a G every year for tires. So far I like the Proxes 4 just as good, haven't ripped any corners yet so we'll see.
Baby is good, just turned a year! As for time, like the thread title says "finally" it's been along time coming for all this stuff to get done!! As for $$$ just thankful to have a good job!

Thanks again guys!!

I disconnected mine but what did you do about the big hole left there? I was thinking of ordering a rear deck from the 07 models.

I was going to buy some blk carpet and mount it to a piece of wood and screw it form the bottom of the deck. Should look pretty clean.

I have noticed that you are asking eveywhere for a sound clip, i think it has already been done........i think........ but you may want to try and do a search for it.

Yeah I want to hear some exhaust notes to compare. I know that only magnaflow and catman offer dual tip exhausts but can't seem to find any sound clips. I even attended a NYCMaximas meet to hear some but not even one 6th gen showed up except me and my brother. I know a lot of individuals ask for these clips around the forum so if I was to get a few I will post the whole collection right on the forum with credits due.

Both links link to threads with broken/expired link to the clips. Jay can you try again?

If someone can send me the files to xoomer - at - xoomer.com I can host them on my server.

No, most likely not. I haven't had a weekend in months so this weekend I'll just bum it out at home. Plenty to do here.

I am not 100% sure, so will see. You going?

Hi dudes and dudettes, My first post and i dont like it gentle.
Love that rear ironing board on the max. Very little aftermarket equipment available in australia for the maxima. (most of the good nizmo bits are directed toward the skylines here) Can you tell me where you purchased the spoiler.
cheers mates.

Here's some more info and welcome aboard...
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....hlight=spolier

And not sure what exact car you have (I assume the J31 on the Cefiro/Teanna/Maxima/Bluebird platform??) but not sure if that spoiler will fit. Either way post up some pics for us to check out, it's always good to see some Maxima's from down under...

My max is identical (including colour) to the vehicle at the centre of this thread. From what I can see your Maxima models are similar to ours. My 2001 is/was the same body shape as similar age vehicles i see on here.
Another question if I may, Is turbo charging available ex factory over there or do you have to go the aftermarket route.
Cheers and thanx for the welcome.
