1st Mod HID Fog Light's *3000k vs 4300k*

Well this will be my 1st or 2nd mod. I love 2007 Fog Lights, Nissan put them back in the bumper FTW. 2nd mods & hopefully last mod will be tint the windows.

Now what color do you think I should put in there, the headlights are 4300k. Should I match them up with the headlights (4300k) or get 3000k hids?

BTW does anyone know how hard this is to install?

I hope it is a do it yourself job.

I voted 6K thinking about the headlights. But definitely 3K for fogs.

I say 4300K and match the headlights. When I matched mine, it made the car look so good. I love watching my wife drive the car up at night

go the 3000k. and just for info. it is a 4300 bulb with a yellow filter. which makes them "3000k", Usually most 3k are 100 lm above the 4300 stock 3200 LM. Atleast in most webpages i have searched. I put 6k in headlights and 3k in fogs both projectors in my 3rd Generation. Couldnt be happier.

I want to hook up the fogs w/ 4300k on my 04 max but my headlamp is 8000k, will the 4300k look yellowish next to the 8000k? Should I go 6000k? Also, I should get a h3 converstion kit right? where should I mount the ballist? Has anyone done a conversion on their 04 max fogs?

i believe you have to get the H3 MINI bulbs. Although I'm not sure... Heres 3000k fogs and 6000k headlights on my 3rd gen. with e36 depo headlights. sorry about the poor quality pic. but I took it with my vid cam for you to see.

I currently have 8000k on my headlight....so 6000k for fog should look pretty good. Any suggestion?

H3c is not necessary for fog lights, H3 will also fit, and besides h3c 3000k bulbs don't last as long compare to h3 3000k.

uhhh.....HIDplanet might be a good place to check out the HID info, 5500k has the most output before going too blue according to them 32k is like a sunset....and uhh idk about you guys but uhh during sunset is not the brightest time of day...=\

as far as answering your question, i would go with the Lexus capsules from HIDTech that has been all the rave for the 5th gen guys, idk if you can for the 6th gen but you should definately check it out cuz you will save a whole bunch of money and it will look about the same.

There is a difference between "seeing" and "being seen" and 3000K maybe for best for being seen.

I have a reef tank with corals and the brightest light is provided by 10,000K bulbs.

previous statement. 4300k is most output by phillips (the major hid producer) and a 3000k bulb is a 4300k bulb with a yellow filter....

regular h3 is a little longer, and h3 mini are exactly that "MINI" h3's. The h3 minis dont seem to last that long

pretty sure the h3c is the mini one, the regular h3 looks too long but fits fine in the housing, I did 6k for headlights and fogs, having the two match looks awsome

Yes the regular H3 will fit, because I have them! I know that automax95 supplier discontinued the mini H3 because they burnt out fast or something like that, which is why I got the H3. If you guys are planning on the whole head-light lights to match then get 6k or 8k for fogs/headlights and then get the LED's for the daytime running lights.
