Got a few ideas brewing. Looking for an 07 w/o nav that would be interested in swapping out HU/Dash Kit with my 07 OEM Nissan nav hu/dash kit. Ofcourse some cash would have to be exchanged as well, but that we can negotiate, if i go thru with what i'm thinking.

Let me know!

lol, nothing tooo crazy.

Just basically wanna replace the oem nav with aftermarket, thinking Avic-Z1. What I want to do is place the Avic in the spot where the control are..... and have an LCD where the OEM nav screen is located. AND at the same time somehow retain the climcate control display (temp, mode, defrost, etc.)

Was thinking I could use the display from the non nav and integrate that also....

How does this sound? Tricky?

Not sure yet. Def won't be trying to rob any1, less then Nissan. Just a fair enough value to help recoup some cost.

Not sure how i'm going to approach the situation yet. But either way if I go thru with it, I will have a OEM Nav unit and dash kit for 07 for sale. If i'm doing swap, will be lesser then just selling it outright minus trade, as one would expect.

Will be calling my at stealership to try price out some of the parts I need, and inquire on the poss of this mod, so on and forth.

Will keep you updated if interested.

I heard that you cannot put an oem navigation unit in a non-nav maxima because they entire engine wiring harness has to be replaced...thats what many people told me..

Hello, new here, just thought I would add my .02. If they have kept the wiring the same between the Murano, which I just traded in, then you won't be able to swap it out. I know I wanted to add the manufacturer NAV afterwards to my Murano but the rewiring would cost about $1000, which made it not worth it when I could probably put my money into another better deck, but without the cleaner look.
