Its really nobody's business but him what he paid. Why does there always have to be an e-detective trying call people out?!

Are you serious people. I wasn't doubting the guy and I told him it's a definite awesome choice. On the way from work I was thinking that the payments are just too darn high so I sat down to calculate and they came out much lower, more on the affordable side. The guy bought it cash but I though I'd make a post in case somebody wants to finance one and got scared of the $1400 / mo payment.

...and your replies, go vent somewhere else if you don't understand somebody's good intentions.

No need for us to get all bent on this. I am not financing the car. Thus no car payment thus your calculations are wrong. I did not give the sales tax in the figure that I quoated. I thought I said the sticker on the car was x and I paid y. Who cares how much the stupid car cost. I don't so why should anyone else. I am not sure what the purpose of your post was but no matter. Swee I will get those 0-60 numbers and mods list if a bit.

MaxChef,

You bet, anytime. I just wanted him to be able to enjoy his car and thank him for sharing it with us!

Xoomer,
I can see what you mean about running numbers for those interested, it just came off as brutal, that's all. Kublkmax has been through a lot in the last 3 months, so we are all a little protective/jumpy over him. Zero tolerance for what can be perceived as a less-than-kind attitude or demeanor towards him.

Kublkmax,
You've got a family here too Bossman! Let us know if any of us can help! We've got your back!

Regarding your new whip:
I love it. I hope it is everything you wanted and expected of it. Keep us hungry Maxima owners in the loop with your upgrades!

Swee

Edited:

The site updated with the changes (Xoomer and Maxchef) while I was posting last. It's all good!

I have already removed my post and apologized to involved parties only because I didn't mean what has transpired here to happen. As the case has always been in this forum, I wanted to help.

The wheels be here in another 2 weeks or so. yes there will be 285's under the rear. I am still working out the details on the body kit. Still not sure which one I want. I can get the Hamann Kit pretty inexpensively compared to msrp. I am working on if I can get a good deal on the AC kit. I am also working on the audio in the car. It will be world class no doubt. I will keep you all posted on the progress. here are the two kits give me your opinions.

I like the Hamann because of the dual exhaust.

Very nice car so how do you plan to change the oil, on the BMW forums their are the owners who go with what the car says and then those who change it themselves at 6k or 7.5k instead of waiting until 15k

I will let the dealer change the oil. It is free. Plus this will not be driven everyday. So I can let the car do its thing.

From a purely straight line standpoint: This car is actually not as fast 0-60 as the 6th gen (0-60 & qtr.) (6.8 530 vs. 6.0 Maxima) I still think bang for the buck, the max is where its at, thats why Im still happy with it. The 335i could make me a BMW owner, but it would need to be a 545 for me to go 5 series. No disrespect though, I drove a 528I about 5 years ago and loved it, theres no question that the 5 series fit and finish ****s all over the max, numbers arent everything in day to day.

It is a 4 inch lip.

Well the numbers advertised are higher on the max but the powerband on my 530xi start at 1500rpm and ride all the way to 6800 hundred. I am not so much into fast now a days. The all wheel drive is really nice we had some snow lat friday and I took it out and that think is a monster in the snow. Oh by the way the 2008 535 has the same twin turbo motor as the 335. So there you go. you can have your 5 and not spend 70k for the 550i
